Guys, NewsFactory is great, but you should add some kind of button that shows you the feeds under each category of a same Web. For example, NME allows you to subscribe to many categories. It would be great to click the NME feed in NewsFactory and have a sub-menu to see all categories as one or each categories itselves. thanks for creating this extension, it is a great tool for me! but i'm sorry that i got a bug these days. i had very many rss news sites, and i add them all to the news factory, which makes it crashed. it seems have no enough panel area for storing my rss news. contact me and i will show you the capture.

A great extension that lets me stay on top of the news while I do other things- very important for me, as I work in international affairs. However, it would be great if there was a 'feed' you could scroll through once you open the NewsWorks app that allows you to scroll through stories from all your sources chronologically, rather than having to go back to each individual button to find breaking stories for which you missed the pop up. I also appreciate that I can click on the icons and scroll through the materials put out most recently by a single feed as well, but it would also be nice to have the option of seeing them all together (similar to a 'Home' Twitter feed).

Newsfactory is great for short snippets of news. However, when I finish reading the entire article I must go back to Newsfactory and start over from the 1st story. Is there some way of getting back to the last story read?

Очень удобно!
Особенно нравиться, что новости строятся по хронологическому принципу независимо от сайтов новостей, при том указывается с какого сайта новость.
В качестве недостатков могу отметить:
- В настройках нельзя убрать картинки;
- Нельзя изменять размер окна;
- при работе с вкладками браузера окно пропадает и необходимо его загружать вновь. Удобнее что-бы оставалось полупрозрачным поверх браузера.
- Обновления высвечиваются отдельным окном снизу, которое надо закрывать вручную;
- Отсутствуют какие либо фильтры для отсеивания "левых" новостей;
- Работает только с Google Chrom, хотелось бы поставить такой и на Opera и Mozila.

И еще:
- Было-бы хорошо сделать открытие новостей в новой вкладке браузера не прекращая работу с News Factry;
- Думаю для многих было-бы очень большим подспорьем сделать возможность отображения заголовков новостей с иностранных сайтов на родном для пользователя языке !!! В наш век глобализации и информатизации...

Фильтры, по моему мнению, должны позволять настраивать необходимые новости по трем критериям:
1- Регион (страна или страны);
2- Тематика (спорт, общество, аварии, политика......) чем шире, тем лучше;
3- Объекты (например: нас интересует ВВП, задаем :премьер РФ, Путин и тп. и все новости где он как либо упоминается видим или не видим).

Если учесть все мои пожелания, то .... м-мм конфетка получится! вне конкуренции.

However, I found a bug, when I select some links, some characters are converted to ASCII with the percent symbol (%), and the news does not appear or appears only page of the website. Eg.
Original Link: www.news.com/news.php?id=00001
Address Bar: www.news.com/news.php?id% 3D00001

The character (=) was changed by that other% 3D.

I run News Factory on Chrome. When I click on the popup, it immediately opens Chrome or the desired Web page, but I lose the rest of the options on the popup.

Please fix that.

There seems to be a bug whenever some news shows up as new, i check my feeds window and check them out and click them, but when i close them it still keeps having a red box with(4) on it. Meaning that it is saying i did not check when i did. Please fix this ASAP. Loving the extension, it still is great. Keep up the good work.

Concerning the issue with your news, could you please let us know what are the feeds that you have configured? There might be something related to one of the which is causing the issue, because we could not reproduce it ourselves..

Thank you for answering swiftly. Since the last time i commented the feeds have auctully been a little bit faster, and now it only says [1] in red.

I believe it is the entire app that is bugged. But here are my feeds, Macrumors.com,Operationrainfall.com,PS3trophies.org,Ruleofrosemysteries.org, a few youtube channels subscribed to, one channel releases alot of videos, but was not affected at all throughout the whole process.

I just now tried deleting my feeds, and then reconnecting them again, but the weird part is when i deleted my entire feeds it said [17],even when i deleted my whole feed page, i readded my feeds and now it just shows everything that is new from 2 days ago and says [87](on average it can be 44 updates a day depending on all the sites and youtube channels). When it should say that nothing is new from that moment on.

I believe it is confused on when it should update that i already read the feeds, or maybe it is slow to read the feeds(which it has been slower recently). Other than that though the feeds are easy to subscribe to like last time, nothing else has changed except the updating of the feeds and kind of remembers a few of my old feeds which is a nice feature.

This has not happened before and it is new, it just seems like it is slower or it might not understand that i have read things.

One last thing i need to add, that would be a significant feature would be on managing the feeds that you have, is to organize them in order like for example if i wanted Operationrainfall.com on the all the way right side instead of youtube, i could just drag and drop, or even put it in order of 1st to last.

I think i just fixed it now, appearently, i believe it was ps3trophies.org, i readded it and now it works.

appearently when you add their feed it does not add the right one, instead it goes on the updated games list, instead of the news list. Unfortunately they use feed 2.0 which probably is not that updated in terms of RSS feeds like your's. I usually have to copy and paste their feed to the feed thing into import and now it works.

If things go wrong, i will post back in a few days, other than that, i have one feature i believe needs to be added desperately. On the youtube version of you're feeds, i wish i could name them or know who i am subscribed to on "Manage My Sources" my problem is that at times looking on my feeds on the youtube end, it just says "RSS" which is not really that helpful at knowing who's channel i am subscribed to at times or it can be confusing. I can look past that but it would be worth it to atleast be able to name the youtube feeds only.

Just corrected my last correction, apparently, it was ruleofrosemysteries.com on wordpress. On the site the blogger has way to many pictures and random code in his blog to the point where it auctully messes up the update data. I had to copy and paste his site, due to the fact that when i add to "Import my sources" it says "Null" and does not update, i tried using the links on his feed below for Comments and Entries and sadly both are unstable for the time being making it add 10 updates or 1 that was not read. When oddly enough PS3trophies.org did work when i copied the link adress and put it on import so it is probably a problem with the site in general.

I checked by adding Rule Of Rose Mysteries, waiting 3 min and then it did update with crazy bad updates. When with PS3trophies.org, nothing happened. Everytime i deleted Rule Of Rose Mysteries and waiting 10 min(updates are every 3min on my feed) nothing happened. When i added Rule Of Rose Mytsteries back it did happen. So therefore it was that site, it never happened before the update though.

I think it might be an error with the site or the extension. Because it Rule Of Rose Mysteries did work before but other than that everything is back to normal, i made a slight misjudgement on saying ps3trophies was the culprit when it was Rule Of Rose Mysteries. I hope this helps with the problems other users might have.

Now i know, it is a glitch with the extension, after the next day, i realized that it is just [18] it is nothing of my feeds at all, unfortunately it is only on the [insert number of updates here] part that is messing up, not the auctual updates or the time of the updates that is messing up.

Bug update.

As for my bug thing, i think i figured it out, that when i click the news feed button and click out, the red icon underneath it would usually go away, i guess it is just awkward because it stays and then goes away after 10minutes or so like it is lagging behind or something.
